Anna McCarty (1875-1909)
Houston, Tex., Sept. 7 -- Mrs. Anna McCarty, aged 35 years, wife of Hubert McCarty, died at 1 o'clock Tuesday morning at the family residence, No 706 Bell Avenue. Besides her mother, father and husband, deceased is survived by two children, two brothers and one sister, all of whom are now living in Houston. Funeral services were held at the residence at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. W.H. Crum officiating. Interment was in the German cemetery.

John Alford (1847-1909)
Caldwell, Tex., Sept. 7 - Late yesterday afternoon John Alford died at his home near Cookes Point, this county, and the remains were buried at Salem Church there today about noon. He was about 60 years of age and was a native of this county, having been born and reared near where he died. He was a brother of Mrs. Henry Page and Mrs. R... Wallin, D.C. Alford and H. Alford of this place.

Newt Chapman (abt. 1885-1909)
Saratoga, Tex., Sept 6th. Mr. Newt Chapman, one of Saratoga's best young men, died recently. He was ill about three days. The deceased was very popular and was in the employ of Teel Bros. grocery store. Every business house in town closed in respect to the deceased and the citizens turned out en masse to accompany his remains to their last resting place.
