Charles Henry Muehe (1880-1909)


 
The funeral of Charles Muehe, aged 21 years, who died Monday night at the residence, 3519 Winnie Street, is to be held from the residence this morning at 10 o'clock.

++ Obituary published in the Galveston Daily News, 8 Sep 1909.  Death certificate indicates Charles Henry Muehe was born 21 Apr 1888 and died 6 Sept 1909.  Suicide.  Transcriber is not a relative and has no further information regarding this family.

James H. 'Jimmie' Masterson (1880-1939)

Jimmie H. Masterson, 59, of 406 Peden, resident of Houston for more than 54 years and for many years operator of Masterson's Garage, died Tuesday night.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leah Marie Masterson; sister Mrs. M.M. Carter; two nephews, Allen and Edwin Carter; one niece, Waldene Carter, all of Houston.

He was a member of the Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Brotherhood of Elks.  Members of the Knights of Columbus will meet at 8pm today at the Earthman Funeral Home to recite the rosary.  Funeral services will be held at 9:15am Thursday at the Earthman Funeral Home and at 9:30am Thursday at Sacred Heart, with Rev. Jerome A. Rapp officiating.  Burial in Hollywood Cemetery.
