Mabel Lee Carruth Inman (1914-1939)

Mrs. Mabel Lee Inman, 25, of 1510 Hazard, wife of Rev. S.M. Inman, pastor of the Third Baptist Church, died at 7am Sunday in a Houston hospital.  Mrs. Inman was born in Jackson, La. and had been a resident of Houston for 24 years.
 
She had been active in Houston church work for a number of years.  Fifteen years ago, she became a member of the First Baptist Church, and it was in this church that Rev. Mr. Inman was ordained and licensed to preach and where they were married.
 
Rev. Mr. Inman had been a pastor of the Third Baptist Church for three years, and Mrs. Inman was a teacher in the young people's department of the church and was active in women's organizations of the church.
 
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Jeanine Ann; parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Carruth; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Larkin, Mrs. Wilbur Moore and Miss Grace Carruth, and two nieces.
 
Funeral services will be held at 4pm today at the First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery under the direction of the Settegast-Kopf Company.
